dog likes to control other dogs when playing

Thank you for your input on my previous blog, Adian. It was really helpful. Now a new issue has risen at the doggy day care i bring him to. Inuki is doing great at this place i have been bringing him and his encounters with dogs have been positive, and he has stopped being so defensive when dogs jump on him to play, however the instructor mentioned to me that they are working on this, but he prefers to run circles around the dogs that are playing while barking at them, and sometimes he is a little too confident with small dogs and he will grab them and try to mount them (he is neutered). The observation that the instructor got is that Inuki is trying to control the situation almost non stop. I would like to know what I can do to help him to stop this behavior, and just join in the fun and wrestle and play with the other dogs rather than circle and bark at them. I am hoping that maybe someday I will pick him up from daycare and they will say that they did not have to say his name or call him out once, but so far it hasn't quite worked out that way.

any help?? any comments??
It takes time
Hi Tianna, it takes time. If they call Inuki out consistently when he is getting too wound up then he will learn that when he gets a certain way the fun stops briefly.
Maturation will help, too.
He is getting good socialisation, and it sounds like he is being well managed. There's not much else I could recommend. If he's a herding breed or mix then he will probably always do this to some extent, just keep working on the training so that you have effective control.
Regards,
Aidan
