Taking the Blinders Off

"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice there is little we can do to change until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds." – Daniel Goleman; Vital Lies, Simple Truths.

I got the above quote from this blog by Craig Weller -

For you consideration - if you COULD see that you had the Blinders on, which of your dog's behaviors (or yours) would you change or improve? Which ones would you be embarrassed for me to see if I came over to your house on a surprise visit? Which behaviors would you make excuses about, excuses that may seem perfectly reasonable to you?

No judgement intended, don't beat yourself up if you find something. Just be aware of it. It should be quite a liberating exercise.
